Maple Syrup Barrel Finished

Proof: 102 (51% ABV)

Mash Bill: Yellow corn, rye malt, sweet potatoes, maple syrup

Age: 2+ years

Aging Barrel: toasted & charred oak, 53 & 25 gallon

Finishing Barrel: grade A maple syrup barrels, for 8 months

Release Date: October 2019

From the sugar shacks of New Hampshire, this experiment deconstructs and reconstructs our bourbon mash bill to include sweet potatoes and maple syrup. After aging for up to 3 years in new, charred white oak barrels, we then finished this whiskey in maple syrup barrels for 8 months. Serve with a stack of Johnny Cakes!

Tasting notes: Pancakes and syrup, roasted pumpkin, and toasted marshmallow. Soft and sweet with a maple candy finish.
