Tennessee Double Barrel
Barrel 75 is the last “Tennessee Double Barrel” in our cellar. Like Batch 010, this experiment explores what happens when a High Malt bourbon is finished in a second, toasted and charred barrel. Made for us by our friends at Independent Stave Company, this particular finishing barrel was toasted for a short, 15-20 minute toast at higher temperatures before it is charred to a moderate #2 level. The result leaves a wine-like character that lingers into the finish.
