ABOUT THIS SINGLE BARREL:
Barrel #42 is the last “Tennessee Rye Malt” from our cellar. Like Batch 007, this lesser known style of rye whiskey contains multiple varieties of rye, including caramel rye malt. The result is rich, dense, spicy and warming – like eating a slice of rye, straight from the oven.
Barrel: 53 gallon, #4 char + toast
Age: 2 years, 7 months
Mash Bill: Rye Malt, Rye, Caramel Rye Malt, Floor Malted Corn
Yeast: Ale Blend
Tasting Notes: Spiced apple pie, pumpernickel rye bread. Chewy and full bodied, with a warm, spice-forward finish.
