ABOUT THIS SINGLE BARREL:
Barrel #63 is the last “Tennessee Double Malt” in our cellar. Like Batch 009, this innovative, malty-sweet bourbon somehow meets the criteria for both bourbon and malt whiskey at the same time. The secret ingredient? Floor malted corn made for us by our friends at Valley Malt. Greater than 55% malt. Greater than 55% corn. 110% pure love.
Collector’s note: This barrel is the same mash bill as our very first unaged whiskey, “Chattanooga Whiskey 100”, released in August of 2015.
Barrel: 53 gallon, #3 char + toast
Age: 3+ years
Mash Bill: Yellow Corn, Floor Malted Corn, Rye Malt, Caramel Rye Malt, Honey Malt
Yeast: Ale
Tasting Notes: Dried fig, molasses, white pepper, espresso in the finish.
