These archived versions of bygone whiskeys are expressions of both nostalgia and discovery - each one offering a glimpse into our distilling team’s innovation and creative process. Hang Tag: Single Barrel 167 is a pot distilled revisit of our signature “Barrel 91” recipe. Double distilled at our Experimental Distillery to 139 proof, barreled at 115, and aged 6 years, this barrel exemplifies the multidimensional earthiness produced by our 100 gallon pot still, while still highlighting the malt forward character of our TN High Malt style. With notes of sweet tea and black walnuts, this barrel offers layer upon layer to parse with each sip.

Hang Tag: Barrel #170210141 is the very first barrel we ever filled off our original 30 ft, 12” diameter column. Off at 133 proof, barreled at 115, this first iteration of our scaled up column distilled “Barrel 91” recipe marked the conclusion of 2 years of work and experimentation, and the beginning of our current journey. Highlighting everything we’ve come to love about our TN High Malt style, this barrel also represents the continual evolution of our style & craft over the past 6 years. With notes of dried figs and burnt sugar, this barrel is both familiar and evocative.

Hang Tag: Barrel #1702100882 began as, well, a bit of a mistake. Originally filled 88% with our Batch 001 recipe - the first ever expression of the TNHM style - we accidentally topped up the remaining 12% with TN Rye Malt. Our error resulted in a blend of 2 distinct styles - High Malt Bourbon & High Malt Rye - creating a unique profile that has benefitted by aging together in the barrel rather than blended post maturation. With notes of cocktail cherries and pumpernickel bread, this barrel is completely one of a kind.
