Introducing Batch 036: Herbal Infused!

Inspired by the traditionally infused Kräuterlikörs of Germany, this bourbon liqueur was crafted from a variety of German specialty malts, including pale wheat malt and chocolate malt. After distillation on both pot and column stills, the whiskey was infused with a blend of über-traditional botanicals including ginseng, bilberry, star anise, and sarsaparilla. After aging in single use bourbon barrels for an entire year, dark candi syrup was blended into the spirit before bottling.

Mash Bill: Yellow Corn, Pale Malted Wheat, Melanoidin Malted Barley, Chocolate Malted Barley
Age: 1 year (post-infusion, pre-sweetened)
Proof: 81 (40.5% Alc/Vol) Cooperage: Single-Use Bourbon Barrels
Distillation: Pot & Column
Batch Size: 4 barrels
Infused With: Anise Seed Pods, American Ginseng, Indian Sarsaparilla, Bilberry, Sour Cherry, Bilberry Leaf, Ginger, Anise-Hyssop, Linden, Caraway Seeds, Horehound, Centaury, Spearmint, Burdock Root Style: Bourbon Liqueur/Kräuterlikör
Distillation: Double Pot & Continuous Column
Cooperage (pre infusion): Charred Oak, Single-Use Bourbon Barrels, 53 gal
Tasting notes: Root beer float, black licorice, blueberry preserves, chocolate mint, with a woody ginseng finish
