Selection notes: “It’s not often that we venture out of high malt territory, but this is one worthy exception. Affectionately referred to as “1816 Redux”, this single barrel was pot distilled at our Experimental distillery from the same classic mash bill as our law-changing 1816 series. Made in honor of that original recipe, barrel 77 explores the flavor impacts of grain terroir, extended fermentation, pot distillation, and heated dunnage style storage conditions within our one-of-a-kind distillery. The result is a whiskey that is classically familiar, yet distinctive in its own right.” – Grant
