Opened in 2017, Chattanooga Whiskey's Riverfront Distillery is where Tennessee High Malt comes to life. Built to scale recipes originally developed at our nearby Experimental Distillery, this 46,000-square-foot facility produces all of our signature whiskeys — grain to glass.
Housed inside a restored historic car dealership in downtown Chattanooga, the distillery is home to a custom-built 30-foot Vendome copper column still paired with a 200-gallon pot-style doubler, which is capable of producing more than 50 barrels a week.
More than 4,500 barrels of Tennessee High Malt mature inside our heated, dunnage-style barrelhouse, where the Tennessee River Valley's hot, humid summers and mild winters shape the character of every whiskey.
The distillery is also home to our one-of-a-kind 4,000-gallon charred white oak Solera barrel, which finishes every drop of our signature Chattanooga Whiskey 91. Filled and emptied in the time-honored solera style, our Solera marries roughly 100 barrels across varied ages, proofs, and char levels — a living blend carrying drops of every barrel that came before it.
