A Bottled in Bond Like No Other: 2017 Vintages
INTRODUCING THE CHATTANOOGA BOTTLED IN BOND VINTAGE SERIES
Bottled in Bond is a single-season, vintage-dated expression of our Tennessee High Malt style. Each vintage is crafted from a wide selection of unique high malt bourbon mash bills — all made within the same distilling season — and each comprised of at least 25% specialty malted grains. The result is an innovative approach to one of our industry’s most time-honored quality standards — showcasing depth & complexity that’s greater than the sum of its parts.
4 previously released mash bills (SB091, B004, B005, SB055) created our Fall 2017 Vintage (pictured center)
HOW IT’S MADE
Each distilling season, our distillers select a handful of their favorite Experimental high malt recipes, and scale them up to our Riverfront Distillery for use in our Single Barrel Series and this Bottled in Bond expression. Each Bottled in Bond vintage isolates whiskey from one distilling season – spring or fall – and utilizes a wide variety of mash bills from each period to create expressions not possible from a single recipe. Each blend is a collaborative effort between all of our distillers and crafted to showcase the complexity and range of our Tennessee High Malt style.
