Bad Chattanoogan Release Day at our Experimental Distillery

Bad Chattanoogan Release Day at our Experimental Distillery

BAD CHATTANOOGAN DROPS OCTOBER 23.

Our first Tennessee Whiskey is almost here.
And for this one, we did things a little differently.
Bad Chattanoogan began with two songs by Chattanooga rock ’n’ roll three-piece Dollars Family: “Bad Chattanoogan” and “City I Love.”
We converted those songs into playable grooves, laser-engraved them into solid sugar maple records, toasted the records for 24 hours, and put them directly into barrels of Tennessee Whiskey for a 30-day finish.
The music didn’t just inspire the whiskey. It helped make it.
On Friday, October 23, Bad Chattanoogan officially drops at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery at 11 AM.

TWO SONGS. TWO WHISKEYS. TWO SIDES.
Bad Chattanoogan comes in two distinct blends, each finished on maple records carrying its corresponding song.

SIDE A — “BAD CHATTANOOGAN”
Finished on playable maple records engraved with “Bad Chattanoogan,” a song written specifically for this project.

SIDE B — “CITY I LOVE”
Finished on playable maple records engraved with “City I Love,” Dollars Family’s ode to Chattanooga.

And on release day, you’ll be able to experience them the way we intended:
Side A. Flip the record. Side B.

COMPLIMENTARY SIDE A + SIDE B TASTINGS
Head to the back patio bar for complimentary tastes of both Bad Chattanoogan blends.
Taste Side A and Side B back-to-back, hear the music behind each whiskey, and see what happens when you turn an actual song into a whiskey-finishing medium.
No reservation. No formal tasting.
Just come by, grab a taste, and hear the music.

HANG WITH THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT
The people behind Bad Chattanoogan will be hanging out at our Experimental Distillery during two release-day Happy Hours.
11 AM–1 PM
4–6 PM
Meet Rich Abercrombie, Chattanooga Whiskey Creative Director and Dollars Family frontman; Grant, our Founding Distiller & Chief Product Officer; and Tim, our Founder & CEO.
Come talk whiskey, music, wooden records—or just get your bottle signed.

SEE THE RECORDS THAT STARTED IT ALL.
Yes, the wooden records actually play.
We’ll have a Bad Chattanoogan wooden record on display so you can get an up-close look at the grooves that carried the music into the barrel.
We’ll also have a TinyVinyl player set up so you can hear the music for yourself. Every bottle of Bad Chattanoogan comes with its own playable 4-inch TinyVinyl, featuring “Bad Chattanoogan” on one side and “City I Love” on the other.
