Perfect for first time visitors, this one hour guided tour explores the history of Chattanooga Whiskey, our return to legal distilling after more than a century, and the innovative approach that defines Tennessee High Malt. Learn how we craft whiskey at our Experimental Distillery before enjoying a guided tasting of our latest award winning and distillery exclusive whiskeys.

Go Behind the Scenes
Experience Chattanooga Whiskey 91 from grain to glass at our 46,000 square foot Riverfront Distillery. This immersive two hour production tour explores every stage of our whiskey making process before concluding with an exclusive Full Proof tasting, including a sample drawn directly from our iconic 4,000 gallon Solera barrel.
Guests also have the opportunity to purchase exclusive Riverfront Distillery single barrels and fill their own bottle of Solera Full Proof whiskey.

It provides the foundation for everything you’ll experience at the Riverfront Distillery, covering our history, our unique Tennessee High Malt whiskey making process, our Experimental Distillery operation, and the full range of Chattanooga Whiskey expressions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are your distilleries and tours accessible?
Due to the layout of our production facilities, portions of the tour routes at both distillery locations include stairs. Guests who are unable to navigate stairs will be provided an alternative experience in an accessible space with a dedicated guide, including the same sensory samples, visual walkthroughs, and tour insights.
Are children allowed?
Our tours and the Experimental Distillery tasting room are strictly 21 and older. All guests must present a valid, current (not expired), physical (not digital) government-issued photo ID before participating.
However, our Experimental Distillery bottle shop is open to guests of all ages, and visitors 21+ are welcome to enjoy complimentary samples in the retail space.
Can I enjoy a tasting without taking a tour?
Yes! Our Experimental Distillery tasting room is open daily from 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM, offering tasting flights and cocktails on a walk-in basis.
At this time, our Full Proof Flight is exclusively available as part of the Riverfront Distillery Full Proof Tour.
What should I wear?
Both of our distilleries are active production facilities, and each tour includes a short walk outdoors between buildings. Please dress comfortably for extended periods of standing and for seasonal weather conditions.
For the Riverfront Distillery Full Proof Tour, closed-toe shoes are required, and high heels are not permitted.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We recommend booking your tour in advance to guarantee your spot.
Walk-ins are welcome for the Experimental Distillery Tour, subject to availability.
At this time, the Riverfront Distillery Full Proof Tour is available by reservation only.
Where should I park?
The Riverfront Distillery offers complimentary on-site parking for all tour guests.
The Experimental Distillery does not have dedicated parking, but several paid parking lots and metered street parking spaces are available within a short walk.
Do you serve food?
We do not offer a food menu at either distillery, aside from the light pairing included with select tasting experiences.
If you’re looking for a meal before or after your visit, our team is always happy to recommend some of our favorite local restaurants.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
The snack and chocolate pairings included with our tours are not gluten-free, and we cannot guarantee accommodations for dietary restrictions or food allergies.
Regarding our whiskey, the distillation process removes the proteins associated with gluten sensitivities. However, our distilleries are not gluten-free facilities, so we cannot guarantee that our whiskeys are completely free from trace amounts of gluten. Guests with celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivities should use their own discretion when deciding whether to consume our products.

Are pets allowed?
Well-behaved pets are welcome in the Experimental Distillery retail shop, tasting room, and outdoor patio.
For the Experimental Distillery Tour, only trained service animals are permitted. Emotional support animals and pets are not allowed on the tour.
At this time, pets are not permitted on our Riverfront Distillery Full Proof Tour, with the exception of trained service animals, due to the active production environment.
